Degrassi Finale/Season 13 Premiere Dates and Season 13 On Set Info.

This news about the finale of season 12 and the premiere date for season 13 came out late last week, I decided to wait until now like other people to see if there was any changes before I posted it. MuchMusic is currently confirmed two things:

1. Degrassi’s Season 12 finale, The Time of My Life, is scheduled to air on Friday, June 21st.

2. Season 13 premieres on Friday, July 12th.

That July 12th date for the premiere isn’t a mistake it seems Stephen Stohn also said on Twitter that season 12 would be premierIng on Friday. Now with season 13 premiering on a Friday changes how Degrassi premiered because for the past three seasons 10, 11, and 12 both came on on the third Monday in July going from Monday-Thursday no news yet if this means Degrassi is stopping their telenovela or just changing how the telenovela comes on, also on the Degrassi twitter page there was a tweet hinting about airing on Fridays.

Filming for season 13 began last week and there are still a lot of episodes for them to film:

Degrassi Season 13 Filming Today

Filming for season 13 started filming today but unfortunately that's all the news that was released so far, Epitome has been keeping in about Season 13 under wraps because they don't want to reveal the new characters yet and also for any returning people that the fans don't know about yet but check keeping back on here for more Degrassi Season 13 info as it comes out.

Degrassi Season 13 News

Yesterday Stephen Stohn tweeted about Degrassi Season 13, Epitome has been keeping Season 13 information underwraps, Stephen Stohn hasn't been posting pics of the readthroughs which has also been going on for a couple of weeks now. The Stohn did tweet a quick explanation yesterday about Season 13:

I can't show pics of the recent readthroughs, as the new actors haven't been announced! But we've read up to 1308. #Degrassi

Last year when news about Season 12 was coming out the new characters Cam, Dallas, Becky, and Luke were revealed at the first readthrough of season 12, not revealing the new characters yet maybe because last season they didn't have an graduation episode. They have already up to the readthrough for 1308, that also means filming for 1301-1304 has already started, Luke who also tweeted today about filming in a couple of days. There is no why to tell when the new characters will be announced. There is still the one-hour season 12 finale "The Time of My Life" coming in June and hopefully the season 12 finale being hold off until June doesn’t affect the TeenNick summer promo that always comes out in May

Degrassi Episode Promo: The Time of My Life

The promo for the Season 12 Finale The Time of My Life was released on Entertainment Weekly today just yesterday the plots for The Time of My Life was released. The promo shows different things to the seinors at graduation, prom, etc it looks like the senior are going out in style

Degrassi Season 13:

In the promo for The Time of My Life  it mentions Season 13 nothing to big and it also confirms Season 13 will still be coming on in the summer but it says "Get Ready For The Next Chapter In Degrassi History"

Degrassi Episode Discription: The Time of My Life (The Season 12 Finale)

MuchMusic posted a press release with its network highlights for the month of April, and accidentally posted the episode description for the Season 12 finale, The Time of My Life:

Imogen can’t imagine saying goodbye to Fiona, and resorts to desperate measures to try keep them together. Clare attempts to move on with her life without Eli, while Mo wants to lock down a “bromance” with Jake before the summer.

They also say that the episode airs Friday, but that's incorrect because Zombie Part 2 airs tomorrow.  The Time of My Life will air as a one-hour episode sometime in June or July.

BREAKING NEWS: Alex Steele Leaving Degrassi!!!!

Alex Steele who plays Tori on Degrassi has revealed that she won't be returning for Degrassi Season 13 due to wanting to take on a new focus on pursing film Alex has said "I'm very proud of my time on Degrassi and feel very lucky to have worked with such an amazing cast and crew," , "I've decided to take on a new focus pursuing film. I have a few opportunities already in the works and am excited to get started!"

I'm wondering with the seniors leaving this season  how are they going to explain Tori suddenly leaving I most likely won't be a proper send off... What are your thoughts about this breaking news
